Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 10 - 40 m
Distribution:  Europe: Lake Lucerne, Switzerland.
Diagnosis:  It is a medium-sized whitefish with moderate pigmentation on its fins and body. Its flanks above the lateral line are greenish-blue, with a moderate number of small pigmented dots on the scales. The species features a short head, a sub-terminal mouth, thick and triangular-shaped eye sockets, and a relatively short, stout caudal peduncle.
