Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 5 - 12
Distribution:  South America: lower Amazon, coastal Guianas to mouth of the Orinoco River.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds on worms, insects and crustaceans (Ref. 7020).
