Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Namibia and South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 32-38; Dorsal soft rays (total): 2-4; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 20-25. Brown to grey-green with dark crossbars (Ref. 5496).
Biology:  Occurs in tide pools and estuaries.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 03 May 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
