Family:  Cottidae (Sculpins)
Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Bering Sea coast of Alaska to northern Baja California, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-17; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-12. Caudal fin barely rounded. Pelvic fins small.
Biology:  Occurs in intertidal rocky areas, most often in middle intertidal zone (Ref. 2850).
