Max. size:  8.21 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 80 - 120 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: the Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 11-13; Vertebrae: 26-26. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: D XIII,11-12; A II,11-13; pectoral-fin rays 17-19; procurrent caudal-fin rays 3; tubed lateral-line scales 13-15; gill rakers 6-9 + 18-19 (= 25-27); body depth 1.5-1.6 in SL. Colour of adults when fresh brownish grey in the dorsal side to whitish on the ventral side, with alternating dark and light stripes in the sides of body (Ref. 120230).
