Max. size:  16.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Uraricoera and Tacutu River basins in the Branco River drainage, Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Differs from all other Chaetostoma by the combination of the following characters: presence of a dermal keel on the posterior tip of the supraoccipital; reduced number of invertible odontodes (2-5) in the interopercular region; and the presence of three smooth, large, digitiform papillate projections in the buccal cavity (Ref. 26719).
