Distribution:  Asia: Malaysia, Indonesia, and Borneo.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in swamp forest and streams with soft bottom, usually among leaf litter and aquatic vegetation (Ref. 56749). Feeds on fish and shrimps (Ref. 6868). Possesses a short dorsal spine which can inflict painful wounds (Ref. 6868).
