Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Apalachicola and Oconee river drainages (mostly above Fall Line) in Georgia and Alabama, USA; extreme upper Tallapoosa and Etowah river drainages in Georgia; Toccoa River system (Tennessee River drainage) in Georgia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky riffles, runs and sometimes pools of headwaters, creeks, and small rivers (Ref. 86798).
