Max. size:  14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 146 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southern Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-9. First dorsal fin not elongate, about as long as 2nd. First dorsal fin in female with round black mark. No black mark at anterodorsal corner on male's 2nd dorsal fin. attains 14 cm SL.
Biology:  Found on shelf edges (Ref. 43239).
