Max. size:  9.7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, in the Carahuayte, Mazám and lower Napo River basins.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabit forest streams with near colorless, clear to slightly turbid water with moderate to swift current varying with rains (Ref. 9088). Both parents guard eggs and larvae (Ref. 40602).
