Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 300 - 1800 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan (Ref. 27683) and South Korea (Ref. 77001).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Oviparous. Distinct pairing with embrace. Young may tend to follow large objects, such as their mother (Ref. 205). Eggs are oblong capsules with stiff pointed horns at the corners deposited in sandy or muddy flats (Ref. 205). Egg capsule measures 11.77 cm long and 8.46 cm wide (Ref. 41249). Depth range of 300 m-500 m given by H. Ishihara (pers.comm. 07/07).
