| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0. Head large, rather firm, not cavernous. Eyes are relatively large. Chin barbels rudimentary. Integument thick, scale pocket usually well defined. Pyloric caeca 30 to 40. | |||
