Max. size:  2.14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7; dH range: 8
Distribution:  South America: upper Meta River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Strongly red in nature, but gets pale in captivity. Maximum length reported to reach 4 cm TL (Ref. 1672).
