Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 7.5; dH range: 6 - 15, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Atlantic coastal river basins of Uruguay.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom spawner, 2-4 months incubation. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).
