Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Malawi; reported from in Chipoka, Maleri Islands, Nkhomo, and Usisya.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in areas with scattered rocks on a sandy bottom. Feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates (Ref. 5595).
