Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 150 - 440 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Hawaiian Islands, Line Islands and off the south coast of Lombok, Indonesia (Ref. 9824). New record from the northeastern Indian Ocean region.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 112-117; Anal soft rays: 84-89
Biology:  Benthic (Ref. 58302). Feeds on bottom-living animals (Ref. 9824).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 03 March 2015 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
