Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
Max. size:  5.09 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 25 - 53 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaii and Tuamoto Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in moderately deep water, sometimes deeper that normal SCUBA-diving depths, hence its occasional capture (Ref. 27665).
IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated (N.E.) Ref. (123251)
Threat to humans:  harmless
