Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.5; dH range: 5
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, in the lower Negro River and from Manacapuru to Monte Alegre along the Amazon-Solimões River.
Biology:  Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered by the female parent (Ref. 47893).
