Max. size:  3.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  South America: Amazon River basin, in the middle and lower Negro River from DaraĆ£ River to the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Apparently prefers extremely shallow habitats (10-40 cm deep). Often under and among leaves which provide cover and protection, with forest litter used for depositing eggs (Ref. 58483).
