Max. size:  3.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Uaupés River basin, Amazon River basin in Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Live specimens have never been seen outside their range (Ref. 12965). Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered by the female parent (Ref. 47893).
