Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to sulphur producing lakes, springs and their drainage canals in northern Libya. Probably a synonym of Aphanius fasciatus.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in sulfur-producing lakes, springs and their drainage canals (Ref. 3788).
