Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 1300 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Ryukyu Trough, Japan. Eastern Indian Ocean: Andaman Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-21; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 22-24. Pored scales in lateral line less than 60. frontal bone flat above the eye, not forming a ridge. Snout spatulate, sharply protruded, more than 1.5 times the orbit diameter. Palatine teeth sharp.
