Remarks Lives in vertical burrows singly or in groups, may swim for part of the time in midwater (Ref. 231). May occur at depths of 10 to 450 m, but mainly from 70 to 200 m (Ref. 6103). In the western Aegean Sea, the main depth range was from 100 - 120 m (Ref. 6127).
