Remarks Known from midwater to bottom levels of large rivers. Adults are common in the Great Lake and are seen sporadically downstream. Juveniles may be found as far downstream as the upper tidal zone of the Mekong delta in Viet Nam (Ref. 12693). Young individuals occur in October in the lower Mekong basin (Ref. 12975). Omnivorous (Ref. 33813), but consumes somewhat more plant than animal matter (Ref. 12693).
