Remarks 'Coaster' from 'coast', i.e., (noun) seashore and (verb) to slide downhill by force of gravity , from Old French coste, i.e., side, from Latin 'costa', i.e., rib (p. 120 in Ref. 11979). Possibly used to describe the downstream migration to lakes (bigger water bodies) or to the sea to avoid high temperature (Ref. 1998).
