Indo-West Pacific: Philippines, eastern Indonesia and northwest Australia.
Found on sandy bottoms of shallow sheltered reefs (Ref. 9710). Secretive in rubble below living coral (Ref. 48636). Feeds on small benthic invertebrates (Ref. 9710).
