Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-18; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 17 - 19; Vertebrae: 59 - 61. Upper jaw longer than in Hyporhamphus balinensis and Hyporhamphus affinis, its length almost equal to its width; vertebrae 58 or more; preorbital bone 1.1-1.6 times in diameter of orbit.
