Short description Morfología | Morfometría

Espinas dorsales (total): 9; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 10; Espinas anales 3; Radios blandos anales: 7; Vértebra: 25. This species is distringuished by the following set of characters: luminous gland is Y-shaped extending from the throat to midway between origins of pelvic and anal fins, its length 23.1-27.0% SL; symphysis of the lower jaw sharply protruded; proximal radial of the first anal-fin pterygiophore with concavity on anterior surface; anus positioned closer to pelvic-fin origin than to that of anal fin; scales are weakly ctenoid; no vertical line on cheek; scales between first dorsal-fin base and lateral line 3; pectoral-fin rays 16-17; and gill rakers 20-23 (Ref. 129189).
