Diagnosis: teeth longer and more widely-spaced, and mouth less upwardly-angled than any known Diplotaxodon species; larger eye and less streamlined than most Rhamphochromis species; inner row teeth near symphysis of the jaws not enlarged (Ref. 55949).
Africa: Lake Malawi.
Found on shelf areas near the bottom (Ref. 55949). Predatory (Ref. 26712).
