Asia: Kontum Lake in the central highlands of Viet Nam, and probably occurs in the branches of the Mekong that enter Cambodia from Viet Nam.

Slender body; no spots on body (Ref. 12693).
Found in a lake. Like other members of this genus, this species probably feeds on periphyton, algae, phytoplankton as well as leafy plants such as aquatic macrophytes. Most likely caught with seines, castnets and traps (Ref. 12693).
