Environment / Climate / Range
Freshwater; benthopelagic; pH range: 8.0 - 9.0; dH range: 9 - 19. Tropical; 22°C - 24°C (Ref. 1672); 3°S - 10°S
Size / Weight / Age
Maturity: Lm ?  range ? - ? cm
Max length : 8.5 cm TL male/unsexed; (Ref. 5651)
Africa: Endemic to the northern part of Lake Tanganyika. One variety is endemic in the southern part (near Mpulungu).
