Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 14 - 15; Vertebrae: 35. Inner row teeth of lower jaw considerably enlarged and equidistant from one another; dorsal-nasal gland about equal in size to the trunk photophore, not immersed in tissue underlay, aligned sideways and fully disconnected from ventral-nasal gland; suborbital and anterorbital glands and hook-shaped teeth in posterior part of upper jaw missing (Ref. 43965).
