Eastern Atlantic: one specimen from Azores (Ref. 7408) and from south of Canary Islands. Southwest Pacific: Known in Australia only from the type locality, off Cape York, Queensland (Ref. 7300). Western Indian Ocean: off Natal, South Africa (Ref. 6611). Few specimens from tropical parts of all oceans.
