Vertebrae: 26 - 28. Possesses a conspicuous dark blotch covering the superficial part of cleithrum above the pectoral fin base; absence of a dark caudal peduncle blotch. Body depth 29.9-35.4%SL; interorbital width 7.3-8.6% SL. Conspicuous dark blotch anteriorly in the dorsal fin, between 3rd-5th spine. Distal extrascapular present. Vertical bars on sides as multiple emphasized narrow lines. Caudal fin with dark bar across base or midbasal rounded dark blotch (Ref. 46238).
