Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 16 - 20; Vertebrae: 32 - 34. Lacks infraorbital bone3; the relatively high counts of anal-fin ray (13-16) and ventral procurrent caudal fin ray count (14-17) for S. broccae relative to all other species of Spintherobolus appears autapomorphic for this species.
