Collected from clear, fast-flowing waters. The type series was taken from down to 2 m depth close to the shore, over rocky bottoms. Water temperature was 20.7 °C, pH 6.8, conductivity 25.7 µS, dissolved oxygen 9.3 mg/l. (Ref. 26626).
