Eastern Atlantic: Strait of Gibraltar to Angola, including islands. One reported occurrence in France (Ref. 4517).
Found over hard bottom (Ref. 2683). Also found over sand. Feeds on bottom and near-bottom invertebrates (Ref. 5535).
