Diagnosis: Simple teeth or with weak shoulders; nasal pore 1 with pigmented papilla; black peritoneum; single, finger-like projection on the orobuccal valve, its cavity pale; gill rakers 8 - 12, short and blunt; interorbital papilla may be present or absent; pyloric caeca on the right side; body is red; iris silver gray (Ref. 57077).
Smallest female with yolked eggs measured 10.5. cm SL; smallest male with enlarged, swollen testes 7.45 cm SL (Ref. 57077).
