soft rays: 13 - 14. Dorsal fin origin situated in the middle of the space between pelvic-fin origin and anal-fin origin, its superior border straight or convex, and with 3 unbranched and 7 to 8 branched rays (Ref. 52918, Ref. 52923). Anal fin with concave inferior border, not reaching the caudal fin, and with 3 unbranched and 10 to 11 branched rays (Ref. 52918, Ref. 52923). Pelvic fin, not reaching anal-fin origin, with 2 unbranched and 6 to 7 branched rays (Ref. 52918, Ref. 52924). Pectoral fin pointed and reaching pelvic fin (Ref. 52924). Scales: 60-72 lateral-line scales, 14-16 above lateral line, 4-6 between lateral line and pelvic fin; 26 around caudal peduncle (Ref. 52918, Ref. 52923). The lateral line is complete, follows a ventral line and is median situated at the end of the caudal peduncle (Ref. 52923). It is olive-colored on the dorsal side, silvery on the flanks and ventral side, with a black lateral band (Ref. 52923). Dorsal and caudal fin grey-colored (Ref. 52924).

Estimates based on models
Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref.
82804): PD
50 = 0.5000 [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00724 (0.00358 - 0.01465), b=3.14 (2.98 - 3.30), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref.
93245).
Trophic level (Ref.
69278): 2.9 ±0.1 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref.
120179): High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref.
59153): Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
