Africa: Congo River basin in Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 74421). Type locality in Ogowe is questionable as no other specimens are known from Ogowe drainage (Ref. 74421). Report from Lake Tanganyika (Ref. 4967) needs confirmation.
