| Comments: | In ICES subdivisions 25-32, the major spawning activities are observed during May to August in the main basins, i.e., Bornholm Basin, Gdansk Deep and Gotland Deep. Nursery areas - as well as summer feeding grounds - are the coastal areas. During winter the stock is concentrating in the main basins either at the ground or above the bottom water, depending on the oxygen conditions (Ref. 5947). | |||||||||||
