Description: Characterized by having initial phase bluish grey on side of body, pink ventrally; upper back with pair of red stripes, narrowly separated by blue-edged, dark brown stripe anteriorly and coalescing below posterior dorsal fin; broad blue zone on head behind eye, ending in large dark patch on opercular flap; caudal fin base with blackish spot on the middle; dorsal rays IX,12; anal rays III,12; pectoral rays 13; pelvic rays I,5; lateral line scales 72-75; scales above lateral line to middle of dorsal fin 5; scales below lateral line to anal fin origin 23-25; gill rakers 15-16; depth of body 4.8-4.9 in SL; head length 2.9-3.2 in SL; truncate caudal fin; vertebrae 25 (Ref. 90102). |
