Diagnosis

Can be differentiated from all congeners by its unique color pattern consisting of a number of small back spots on the cheeks (less than half of pupil size), usually 4 white semicircular narrow bands on pectoral fin, one anterior dorsal fin blotch, series of reddish-orange blotches and numerous tiny black spots on the body (Ref. 75135).
