Diagnosis |
Adults with dark gray brown color in life; median and pelvic fins broadly blackish basally; tips of spinous membranes of dorsal fin yellow; distal part of soft portions of dorsal and anal fins bluish white; pectoral fins bluish white with a large black spot at the base; young bright yellow in life. Upper and lower spiniform procurrent caudal rays 3. Tuber lateral line scales 16-18. Body depth 1.9-2.25 in SL. Free margin of subopercle reaching to below rear margin of pupil. Tongue triangular with rounded tip (Ref. 39287). |
