Diagnosis

Small with small mouth, resembles P. pleurotaenia in body form and coloration. Different from other members of genus because of the greatly enlarged molariform, pharyngeal teeth and from P. pleurotaenia in the larger eye, longer premaxillary pedicel and broader head and body.
