Type locality of the holotype of Lamprologus nkambae: 'das Litoral jener kleinen Felseninsel, die dem östlichen Ufer der Mündung von Nkamba Bay (Sumbu National Park, etwa 8°31'S, 30°34'O) vorgelagert ist' (Ref. 93880).
