Known from the East China Sea, South China Sea, and Yellow Sea (Ref. 44036). 10 specimens recorded from Nanao, Zhanjiang, Doumen, in Guangdong Province; and Qinglan, Baimajing, in Hainan Province (Ref. 44036). The population of this species ‘exploded’ in the 2010s, and came to dominate demersal fish catches (Ref. 125559). |
