Type locality, Madras, BMNH 1868.4.15.5-8 (holotype of Gobius madraspatensis (Ref. 75154). Known from Madras in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh (Ref. 4833) and Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108). Fairly common in the Ennur backwaters in Tamil Nadu. Also Ref. 34530, 45255. |
