Type locality of Spratella fimbriata, Malabar Coast (Ref. 114969). Known from the Laccadive Sea, south Kerala and northern Karnataka coast (Ref. 45255). Taken by the poorer section, not very much liked by the local for its spines. Cured for dry-fish markets (Ref. 33273). Also Ref. 188. |
