Description: toothplates of the premaxilla and palate with large and loosely spaced teeth; toothplates on vomer and pterygoids of equal width; body width at pectoral-fin insertions 3.9-4.5 times in standard length; interorbital 2.7-3.1 times in head length; distance between posterior nares 3.7-3.9 times in head length (Ref. 75075).
